Unfortunately, the College of IST cannot accommodate drop-in appointments and registration is required to attend.
What does an on-campus experience look like for the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST)?
A College of IST visit is an hour-long experience that gives you the opportunity to connect with an IST recruitment staff to learn more about the college, its majors and exciting out-of-classroom experiences like internships and student engagement.
How will I connect with an IST Recruitment Staff member?
During your visit to the College of Information Sciences and Technology, located at the Westgate Building, you will connect with a member from our recruitment staff. Please note that your on-campus IST experience may be in a hybrid format to include some virtual and on-campus meetings in our tech-enabled collaboration spaces.
Will I be able to connect with IST students?
Based on the time of year, the visit may also include the opportunity to meet with our IST Diplomats (current IST students) in-person the Westgate Building to learn more about their college experiences and student life at IST and Penn State.
During the academic year, students will not be available during holidays like Labor Day and Martin Luther King Day and the following breaks:
- Winter Break: December 13, 2021-January 10, 2022
- Spring Break: March 6 – March 14, 2022
- Summer Break: May 2, 2022 – August 22, 2022
Tips for making the best visit possible: In order to provide you with the best experience possible, we encourage you to:
- Pair your IST visit with an Undergraduate Admissions information session or tour to learn more about Penn State and the admissions process.
- Schedule your IST visit at least one week in advance.
