Master's Culminating Experience

Master's Thesis

Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the details for the Master’s Thesis process and expectations for the defense by reviewing the M.S. Roadmap.

Reserve a Room

For all room reservations, please email Jenna Hart at jns5431@psu.edu. If you have a room preference, please include this in the email.

Submit an Exam Request Form

At least one month prior to your exam, submit an electronic Exam Request form.

Masters Committee Appointment Signature Form

Once the Graduate Programs Office receives your exam request form, they will generate your Committee Appointment Signature form and an email will be sent to you with the form. You will be required to gather the necessary signatures and return the form to the Graduate Programs Office.

Master's Scholarly Paper

Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the details for the Master’s Scholarly Paper process by reviewing the M.S. Roadmap.

Notify Graduate Program Office of Intention to Submit Scholarly Paper

Email the Graduate Program Office at istgradprograms@psu.edu with your plan for submitting your scholarly paper. This should be submitted by the following dates for each semester:

  • Spring: April 15
  • Fall: November 15
  • Summer: July 15

Processing

The Graduate Programs Office will prepare the necessary paperwork for your advisor to complete and sign off on after reviewing your paper.
