How will students know what transfer credits will be used to satisfy their degree program?

If course work from a previous institution did not transfer as a direct equivalent to a Penn State course, it is possible to have the course reviewed for equivalency.  Students should obtain the syllabus for the course from their previous institution as it is generally required for the review process.  The student should meet with their academic adviser to discuss the potential for equivalency and the review process. Once the syllabi is reviewed by faculty and a decision is made, you will need to set up an appointment with an Adviser in the College of IST  (814-865-8947) to review your useable credits and help schedule your classes.
