Through IST’s Enterprise Informatics & Integration Center (EII), companies and other types of organizations may benefit from the talents, skills, and expertise of our students and faculty through a number of unique and rewarding partnership opportunities. Below is a brief description of each opportunity.

Participate in IST’s Consulting Solutions Program
IST offers faculty-led student IT consulting teams as a resource to companies and non-profit organizations.

Connect with students via IST’s Internship Program
Employers are invited to participate in IST”s Internship Program by providing students with challenging and relevant work experiences in the IT field and by offering mentoring and training on the job.

Participate in IST’s Mentoring PLUS Program
The IST Mentoring Initiative provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and intimate exposure to the corporate environment.  This program involves having IST alumni and IT corporate professionals form a mentoring relationship with IST students.

Co-sponsor, attend, and/or support IST special events
IST is a hotbed of conferences, educational programs, and other special events. Corporate partners and other interested parties are invited to engage with IST to learn and promote their image at Penn State.

Host student field trips
Provide students with the face-to-face, real world experience of visiting and touring your organization by hosting student field trips. IST Corporate Relations Specialists are on hand to help plan and coordinate visits.

Support IST programs and initiatives through donations, including hardware, software, course materials, and funding
IST embraces any and every opportunity to enhance or improve it’s operations and the educational environment and experiences it provides for its students. Donations of hardware, software, course materials, and funding are graciously receive, and will be put to work serving the IST community.

Participate as a guest lecturer in the classroom
Get up close and personal with our students in the classroom. Leaders and practitioners in the IT field are invited to participate and present in the classroom as guest lecturers. It is a privilege for our students to be exposed to the best and brightest professionals in the industry.

Sponsor an applied research project
The Enterprise Informatics & Integration Center (EII) offers a variety of faculty-led research services to corporate and government partners.
