Women of Distinction Day of Celebration (3/12)
In the spirit of Women’s History Month, the College of Information Sciences and Technology's Office of Multicultural Affairs will hold a day-long celebration, culminating with a reception in which we will honor all women in the IST community and present awards to our "Women of Distinction" recipients.

In the spirit of Women’s History Month, the College of Information Sciences and Technology's Office of Multicultural Affairs has planned a day-long celebration of the contributions of female IST faculty, staff, and students. The day's events will culminate with a reception at 3:30 p.m. in Reese's Cafe where we will honor all women in the IST community and present awards to our "Women of Distinction" recipients.
Activities at a glance:
- Presentations by female faculty members during IST classes to build awareness of women's research and contributions to the field.
- Announcement of poster contest winners on the subject of "Women pioneers in the field of technology." Poster submissions will be displayed throughout the day.
- Women of Distinction Reception and presentation of awards from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in Reese's Cafe
- Everyone in the IST community is invited to attend.
