Internship Approval

All internships found through Compass or the Penn State Career Fair are automatically approved for credit.

Any internship found personally must be approved by the Internship Office. To gain approval, please send an e-mail to the Internship Coordinator with the following information:

• Name of the company/organization
• Contact person
• Location
• Dates of employment
• Brief job description

How Do I Register for Credit?

• Once your internship is approved you can register your internship for credit by sending an e-mail to the Internship Coordinator. The Internship Coordinator is the only person who can register you for IST 495.
• Please remember to register for IST 495 the same semester you start your internship.
  
• The Internship Coordinator will send you registration paperwork to complete. The completed registration paperwork authorizes the Internship Coordinator to register you for internship credit.
