Majors

Undergraduate degree programs, majors, in the College of Information Sciences and Technology.

B.S. in Information Sciences and Technology (ISTBS)

A College of IST education gives you the opportunity to become a leader in the digital age. You’ll focus on how people create, improve, and use technologies in their everyday lives—at work, at home, in businesses big and small, in the media, and the government. And you’ll learn to analyze how these technologies impact the world at large, and what you can do with this information to make a difference.

B.S. in Security and Risk Analysis (SRA)

The SRA major is designed to provide unique, interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates areas of study in information assurance (both digital and physical security), intelligence analysis, and cyber forensics. In the SRA program, you’ll learn how to design systems that are secure, measure risk, and ensure that proper levels of privacy are maintained for individual technology users, businesses, government, and other organizations.

B.A. in Information Sciences and Technology (ISTBA)

The Bachelor of Arts in Information Sciences and Technology (ISTBA) is the newest degree offered in the College of IST. If your goal after graduation is to be an entrepreneur, to go on to law school or want to acquire an advanced degree in another field, this degree may be suitable for you. The ISTBA degree provides you with new and creative avenues of study in which you can blend information technologies with the arts, humanities, social sciences, and other similar areas. The flexibility of the curriculum allows you to combine information sciences and technology courses with your creative interests.
